20 years of Laundry B. And it's all because of you!

20 years of Laundry b. And it's all because of you. ??

I've been trying to find the right words to say thank you. And for someone who can usually talk for England, that's quite something.

Twenty years - wow how did we get here?

Fashion businesses tend to come and go. Even the biggest names on the high street, with their enormous budgets and teams of experts, don't always make it this far.

And yet here we are. An independent little business called Laundry b, still here, still growing, still doing things our own slightly unconventional way.

And the reason? You. Every single one of you.

Some of you have been with me for almost the entire twenty years. Others have only discovered us in the last twenty days. And there are thousands of you somewhere in between.

I wish I could tell you just how much that means to me.

Because over twenty years, life happens, doesn't it?

Some of you first shopped with us when your children were little. Those children have grown up, flown the nest and perhaps even given you grandchildren. Some of you have retired, started new careers, fallen in love, lost people you adore, moved house, travelled the world or simply found yourselves in a completely different chapter of life.

And I've been living my own twenty years alongside you.

There have been wonderful highs, moments when I've wanted to pinch myself, and there have been many incredibly difficult times too. Times when keeping going has taken more strength than anyone looking in from the outside could possibly know.

But through it all, you guys have been there.

You've placed your orders, watched our lives, sent lovely messages, recommended us to your friends, told us when we've got things right (and occasionally when we haven't!), and come back to us time and time again.

You've trusted us with something that's actually quite personal. How you dress, how you feel about yourself and how you want to present yourself to the world.

And I have never, ever taken that trust for granted.

There's something quite extraordinary about the relationship between Laundry b and our customers. You're not just a transaction on a spreadsheet. You're the reason that our fantastic team come to work each morning, ideas becoming real clothes, new collections being dreamed up and a business that's still looking forward rather than looking back.

You've not simply kept Laundry b in business. You've allowed it to survive, grow and thrive in an industry that can be absolutely brutal.

And I know you have choices. Thousands of them. So the fact that you continue to choose us is something I find genuinely humbling.

Of course, after twenty years, I still haven't learned to keep my opinions to myself, I still get ridiculously excited over a piece of fabric, and I still believe that the right shape of trousers can solve a surprising number of life's problems.

Some things are never going to change.

But one thing I hope never changes is this lovely community we've built together.

To the women who've been here since the beginning, thank you for growing with me.

To those who've joined us along the way, thank you for finding us and staying.

And to our newest customers, welcome. You've arrived at a rather special time, and I'm so glad you're here.

Twenty years ago, I could never have imagined just how much Laundry b would come to mean to so many people. Or, perhaps more importantly, how much all of you would come to mean to me and the girls

If Laundry b has become a little part of your life, please know that you've become a very big part of mine and all our team at the Barnes

From the very bottom of my heart, thank you for these twenty years.

we wouldn't still be here without you.

And I wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else.

All my love,

Joanna ??

P.S. Twenty years in fashion and I still wake up living breathing it - obsessing over our next collection. So I think it's safe to say I'm not finished yet. xx
