directly into the fabric on the loom itself. The method dates back to the early 19th century and takes
its name from the inventor of the revolutionary weaving system, Joseph Marie Jacquard. His loom
allowed complex patterns to be woven automatically using punched cards — a technology so
influential it later inspired early computing systems.

Because the design is woven rather than printed, jacquard fabrics have a subtle dimensional quality.
Light catches the pattern differently across the surface, giving the cloth depth, texture and a quiet
