If you want a tight fit a 12/14 would be fine, for a looser fit a 14/16 would be more suitable.

Do they come up try to size please, I’m a good size 16.
Sometimes when buying a larger size they go baggy, which I hate, but also hate overhang on waistband !

I am 5 feet 10 tall and size 16 .Will these fit me just worried if the bottom of them will fall around my calf widest part and be too tight .Want a loose comfortable pair for holiday abroad .Thanks for any help eg seeing them on a taller person Barbara

The width of them at the bottom is 13 inches, measured when the pants are lay flat.
